Curt Fraser postgame interview over Spartak (1204)

Reporter: Please comment on tonight's game.

Curt Fraser: Tonight was a real hard game. We started off fast, came out of the game quick, scored a couple of goals, got an early lead, felt pretty good about ourselves. I don’t know how many times we’ve had a lead like that. So in the second period, I think we got a little loose, starting to make some turnovers, penalties, put us in a tough spot. But I’m really proud of the guys tonight.

Like I said, I’m very pleased and proud of our group. The way they competed and battled back. Missing Cracknell from early in the game. Yip, Foo, these are key pieces for our team. But the others guys stepped up, filled in and found a way to win tonight. Wong’s goal was a beauty. And then Murphy in the overtime again. So a fantastic finish for our team. And lots to learn from that game. 

And I thought over the whole game, the defense did a great job. And then Smith again in net was amazing. Lots of good things happen for us. Scoring a few goals now. Hope we can continue this and for this last 2 games on the road, before the break. But our guys are excited. We are battling hard and trying to climb the standings. We’re starting to see some results. Good jobs by the boys tonight.
