Goodbye, Lofty, get well soon!

Kunlun Red Star agreed to terms of contract termination with defenceman Sam Lofquist. Somerset, WI native, Lofquist was injured during Sibir game on Nov. 27th. Even though Lofquist got rid of injury he suffered, the complete recovery process will take him a couple more months. These circumstances lead KRS to let Lofquist finish his recovery back home in North America. He will get the monetary compensation in accordance with KHL regulations.

We thank Sam for his play this year and truly appreciate his endeavor to come back to the ice this season. However, in some cases good health goes first, that’s why this decision has been mutually agreed by both parties.

We wish Sam a speedy recovery, looking forward on seeing him on the ice next season.
