New challenge for Kovy

Alexei Kovalev has been appointed the new head coach of Kunlun Red Star. A native of Togliatti, USSR, Kovalev is entering his third season with our organization, and becomes the fifth head coach in franchise history. An Olympic and Stanley Cup champion with world-renowned skill and vision, Kovalev brings decades of experience from the highest levels of global hockey. 

There are new challenges ahead for Alex Kovalev, who has had a major impact on our organization for two seasons running. We look forward to the upcoming season and congratulate him in this new position.
